Despite advances in medicine, increasingly technical surgical procedures, and significant amounts of time and money spent on research, the causes of bad health is a sharp increase.  We consistently see higher rates of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, inflammation, stress and cancer, among other illnesses. Let’s talk about how and what are the causes of bad health.

According to Medical News Today explained “Hyperinsulinism” is an overproduction of insulin (AKA “storage hormone”) from the beta cells of our pancreas into the bloodstream. Our body requires tight regulation of blood sugar or glucose in the blood (not too low or too high) in order to function optimally. In order to keep the blood sugar levels from getting too high, the pancreas will produce insulin.[mfn][/mfn]

Healthline pointed out one of the many important jobs of insulin is getting excess sugar or glucose out of the blood and “store” it into the body’s cells to be utilized as energy.

Chronically elevated blood sugar leads to high demand for insulin and ultimately a condition knows as insulin resistance. When we are insulin resistant our body will begin to store excess glucose as fat.

We also know hyperinsulinism is one of the main culprits behind type II diabetes, obesity, cancer, Alzheimer’s, fertility problems, and mood disorders.

Pick any disease you can think of and google it with “hyperinsulinism” and you’ll likely find a connection. If we can understand and avoid the eating habits that trigger a state of hyperinsulinism, we can drastically reduce our chances of falling victim to many of the chronic diseases exploding across the globe.

Hyperinsulinism is The Truth Fact to Causes of Bad Health?

food high in carbohydratesOur contemporary diets are full of processed and refined foods along with grains, cereal, rice, pasta, sodas, sweet kinds of stuff,  and white flour that are extremely high in carbohydrates.

  • These foods are often very toxic and contain artificial flavors, harmful additives, and are extremely low in vitamins and minerals.
  • These foods are cheaply made and utilize many of the staple crops that are subsidized by the government: soy, wheat, and corn (which are mostly genetically modified).
  • These are the foods you are likely to see pop up in commercials. We’ve been conditioned to eat them and because of their high sugar content, can be very addictive. This is good for the food industry but bad for our health.

When we consistently consume carbohydrate-rich foods, we are bombarding our systems with sugar, as carbohydrates break down into simple sugars.

Unhealthy food likes a breakfast of orange juice, oatmeal, and toast = sugar, sugar, and more sugar once it is broken down.

This way of eating will constantly drive our blood sugar levels up, requiring our bodies to work overtime producing insulin in a desperate attempt to maintain blood sugar levels in the optimal range.

Blood sugar levels that are chronically elevated cause damage in many of the body’s tissues including the nervous system, liver, pancreas, kidneys and blood vessels.

In other words, chronically elevated insulin levels create systemic inflammation, which leads to disease.

Natural Remedies Solution to Reverse Hyperinsulinism

Essential Oils to Reverse Blood Sugar Levels

Helpful essential oils include Basil, Coriander, Cinnamon, Juniper Berry and Lavender.

To use:

Essential oils for Balancing Blood SugarBasil essential oil helps to reduce circulating blood glucose levels and inflammation. It also helps to lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels.

Coriander essential oil has dual blood glucose-lowering effects in diabetes. It works both by enhancing the secretion of insulin from the pancreas and exhibiting insulin-like activity at the cellular level.

Cinnamon essential oil has blood sugar balancing effects, which have been proven to support diabetes.

Lavender essential oil helps to reduce stress and supports cortisol levels.

Juniper Berry essential oil can be used as internally as a powerful cleansing and detoxifying agent and to support urinary tract and healthy kidney function.

Home Remedy:

  • Take 2 drops of both coriander and cinnamon essential oils with one teaspoon of coconut oil.
  • Vigorously rub the mixture on the soles of the feet to support healthy blood glucose levels.
  • Alternatively, add 1 drop of cinnamon essential oil to a smoothie or soup and take with meals.

Exercise is another crucial part of improving insulin sensitivity. It naturally supports metabolism by burning fat and building lean muscle. To prevent and reverse diabetes, walk 20 to 30 minutes a day, which is especially beneficial following meals.

In addition to walking, do interval training cardio (such as burst training) or weight training three to five days a week for 20 to 40 minutes. Burst training can help you burn up to three times more body fat than traditional cardio and can naturally increase insulin sensitivity. Strength training using free weights or machines and is also recommended because it helps you build and maintain muscle, which supports balanced blood sugar and sugar metabolism.

Foods to Eat

Focus on getting carbohydrates from nutrient-dense whole food sources with less sugar and more vitamins and minerals, such as vegetables and a little fruit.

High-fiber foods: Fiber helps to slow down glucose absorption. Aim for at least 30g of fiber per day from vegetables, berries, nuts, oatmeal, and seeds.

Chromium-rich foods: Chromium deficiency can lead to poor blood sugar control. Eat foods high in chromium, such as raw cheese, Brewer’s yeast, and broccoli.

Coconut: Medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) found in coconuts can help balance blood sugar levels and be a preferred fuel source for your body rather than sugar. Including coconut oil, coconut milk and coconut butter in your diet is a great way to intake MCFAs.

Wild-caught fish: Omega-3 fats reduce inflammation and can help counteract some of the negative effects of elevated blood glucose.

Low-glycemic load foods: Foods with a low glycemic value tend not to spike blood sugar as much as high-glycemic foods.

Foods to Avoid

Avoid carbohydrate-rich foods such as grains, dairy, sugar, and processed foods.  These are the true fact to cause your hyperinsulinism and bad health.  Also make efforts to eat grass-fed animal-based protein and healthy fats at every meal to stimulate a glucagon response, which will help balance out your metabolism.

Avoid Carbohydrate FoodsThe following list is the main culprit to cause and spike your blood sugar levels rise and bad health …

Sugar and grains: Refined sugar rapidly spikes blood glucose, and a high grain diet also negatively affects blood sugar levels. Avoid wheat and white bread and flour products.

Soda, juice, or other sweet beverages: These forms of sugar enter the bloodstream rapidly and can cause extreme elevations in blood glucose.

Refined and processed foods: Any foods that are refined, processed, and contain no fiber generally will raise blood glucose.

Cow milk: There has been research showing that children with type 1 diabetes can be sensitive to the protein in cow milk (casein). Avoid milk, cheese, sour cream, and other non-fermented dairy products.  [mfn],the%20children%20who%20developed%20diabetes.[/mfn]

Alcohol: Can dangerously lower blood sugar. Beer and sweet liquors are high in carbohydrates and should be avoided.

  • Glucagon is a hormone that also helps to regulate your blood sugar and counter-balance the effects of insulin.
  • Glucagon is stimulated by the ingestion of protein and will release sugar or glucose back into the bloodstream when levels are too low.
  • Glucagon is known as a “fat-burning” hormone that allows you to break down stored fat and stored liver glycogen to be utilized as energy.

This is one of the important reasons to consume animal-based protein at each meal. This good help with burning off that extra body fat.

One important thing to know, however, is if you have abundant insulin floating around it will inhibit glucagon’s fat-burning powers. You will have a hard time losing weight if you don’t ditch the sugar and insulin-spiking foods. Think of insulin as a “fat-storing” hormone that helps to clear the bloodstream of sugar when levels are too high.

Not All Carbohydrates Are Created Equal

Carbohydrates are present in:

Vegetables => fruit  => grains and starches  => fake, processed, & refined food

As we travel through this list from vegetables to fake food, we generally notice an increase in carbohydrate density and a reduction in the healthy vitamins and minerals the body needs to thrive.

Not only are these fake and processed foods richer in sugar, they also get converted more rapidly into the bloodstream as glucose, thus causing our bodies to produce more insulin and as a consequence chronically store more fat.

This is especially the case for liquid carbohydrates and manufactured foods as they have been stripped of fiber which helps slow the release of glucose into the bloodstream. And while wheat often gets promoted to being a complex carbohydrate-rich in fiber.

It’s important to note that modern wheat is a complex carbohydrate called amylopectin. This type of complex carbohydrate is a form that is easily digested and gets converted to glucose extremely rapidly into the bloodstream. Eating two slices of whole wheat bread will spike your blood sugar as much as a Snickers bar will.

How Toxic Are You?

Fat plays many important roles in the body including insulation, energy, protection and fortification of cell membranes. How are they ugly fats affected and causes to bad health?

Fats are classified as:

Saturated which is no double bonds, solid at room temperature, more stable for cooking. Saturated Fats (SAFs) are predominately found in the fat cells of animals and humans, as well as in tropical oild.  [mfn][mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

Monounsaturated is one double bone, liquid at room temperature, not great for high heat cooking. The main Monounsaturated fatty acid (MOUFAs) is oleic acid, the main component of olive, almond, pecan, cashew, peanut, and avocado oils. Our body can make MOUFAs from SAFs, thanks to a class of enzymes called desaturase enzymes.  This class of enzymes is de-saturate fat molecules.  They’ll desaturate a saturated fat, and turn it into unsaturated fat.  Essentially add a double bond into the chain, making it less saturated.  [mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

Polyunsaturated is 2 or more double bonds, liquid at room temperature, and very unstable, not to be used for cooking. Polyunsaturated Fats have two or more pairs of double bonds so they have kinks at the double bonds. For this reason, they do not pack together easily and have a low melting point. They are liquid even when refrigerated.  The more liquid the fat or the oil is the more easily it can become damaged-by light, oxygen, and heat.  This is why cooking with canola oil is a terrible idea because the heat will cause the molecule to become rancid. [mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

As a rule of thumb, do not use liquid oils in cooking.  Olive oil can be used because it’s a monounsaturated fat making it more stable than polyunsaturated fats. [mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

Supersaturated Fats include DHA and EPA which is derivative of Omega-3s that are 20+ carbon molecules with 5+ double bonds.  DHA had six double bonds making it highly volatile.  If you do not take care of these oils, they will do more damage than good since they have more than 5 double bonds. [mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

Because of this, they are highly unstable and very sensitive BUT provide the most benefits to our health – abundant in brain cells, nerve synapses, joint health, heart and circulatory health, immune function, the retinas, the adrenal glands, anti-inflammation and etc …

DHA is very important for the brain and nervous system.  They are found almost exclusively in cold water fish.  DHA have the lowest melting point, which means in the Arctic waters, these saturated fats will not turn solid. [mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

Some fatty acids can be produced inside the body, “essential” fatty acids (EFAs) cannot be produced by our bodies; therefore, we rely on the food we eat to supply these important nutrients.

Omega-6s are overly abundant in the modern diet and creates inflammation in the body by its conversion into prostaglandin 1 and 2. Therefore, we must eat less omega-6 (ie. less polyunsaturated oils like sunflower oil, soybean oil, safflower oil and canola oil) which is highly present in processed food.  Instead, we should focus on consuming MORE omega-3s due to its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. [mfn]Yuri’s Elkaim’s Super Nutrition Academy, Module 3 -[/mfn]

Restoring the balance between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids is an important step in keeping your body healthy.  Here I would recommend the doTerra xEO Mega is a revolutionary formula that blends CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils with natural marine and plant-sourced omega-3 oils and carotenoids.

What Makes doTerra XEO Mega Speacial?

doTerra XEO Mega effective as fish oil supplementation is, there is a better alternative with an even wider spectrum of health benefits. In xEO Mega, doTERRA has developed the most advanced essential oil omega complex on the market. (Read >>>  doTerra xEO Mega® Essential Oil Mega Complex)

Four  softgels provide 950mg of marine-derived omega-3 EFAs, the best source of EPA and DHA (Anchovy, Sardine &  Mackerel) and another 210mg from plant-based sources, along with other highly bioavabile micronutrients and antioxidants.

Along with the marine-sourced EFAs, xEO Mega includes echium seed oil, which contains a high concentration of stearidonic acid (SDA) that the body efficiently converts to EPA. Also, the included essential oils work synergistically to support the digestion process and immune system function and enhance the antioxidant benefits.

Furthermore, the astaxanthin, vitamin E, and vitamin D content promote a healthy response to oxidative stress. The essential oil omega complex is formulated to work with Microplex VMz® to naturally benefit health in a manner that no basic nutritional supplement regimen can match.

Omega-3s are very important but unfortunately, the human body doesn’t convert plant-based omega-3s efficiently into their beneficial EPA/DHA derivatives.  Thus, a combination of plant-based sources (ie. flax, hemp, chia, walnuts, etc … ) and animal sources (fish, fish oil) or algae is the best practice.

Your body requires EFAs to regulate bodily functions, counter oxidative stress, maintain overall wellness, and perform at its best every day.  Balancing a diet including moderate amounts of vegetable oils and regular servings of oily fish, along with xEO Mega, ensures that you will meet the recommended guidelines for EFA consumption and lifelong health.

How Does The New Dietary Hidden The Truth to cause of Bad Health

A  Poor Ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6, Omega-3, and omega-6 essential fatty acids must be obtained from foods we eat because our bodies cannot generate them on its own.

According to research studies, our ancestors typically ate a diet ranging from a ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 omega-3 to omega-6.   We usually see a ratio of 1:20 to 1:30 in our modern diets.

Avoid Polyunsaturated OilsWestern diets are high in omega-6 polyunsaturated fats such as canola oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, corn oil, and trans fats. These are found in processed foods, frozen foods, fast foods, and most restaurants. It’s important to note that these are also the fats that have conventionally been promoted as “heart-healthy.”

In addition, most of our conventional meat sources are fed grains, which cause the fat from these sources to be rich in omega-6. When an animal is raised eating its natural diet (grass for cows, worms for chickens, etc) it will be higher in omega-3.

Well, …you aren’t just what you eat, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT EAT EATS.

For instance, cows are meant to eat grasses but when you feed a cow grains (a common practice in conventional farming) they are likely to get sick and fat, and as a result, will be given antibiotics. They also get injected with hormones as this produces a product with more meat to sell. When you eat a conventionally raised animal you are not only eating higher levels of omega 6 fatty acids, but also consuming those hormones and antibiotics that were fed to these animals. Thus, are these enough culprits to cause bad health?

Overconsumption of omega-6 fats in proportion to omega-3 fats can lead to systemic inflammation and disease.

In addition to a poor omega 6 to 3 ratio, the industrial seed oils used so prevalently in our food industry are incredibly inflammatory. They are often bleached, deodorized, and highly processed using caustic chemicals that form free radicals. The end result is a cheap, highly toxic, inflammatory substance.

Remember, underlying all chronic disease is systemic inflammation.

The human species has been around for over 2.5 million years. It was not until around 10,000 years ago, after the Agricultural Revolution, that we began consuming Neolithic foods such as grains, legumes and dairy.

Upon the introduction of these items into our food supply, our health immediately declined. The rates of bone malformations, dental cavities, nutrient deficiencies, and infant mortality all rose as our physical stature diminished. Anthropologists tell us it takes over 40,000 years for a species to evolve to its new environment, suggesting we are not yet genetically equipped to eat these foods.

The Problem

Grains, legumes, and dairy can wreak havoc on your entire body. Grains and dairy not only spike insulin levels but along with legumes can be gut-irritating and destroy the gut lining—an alarming thought given that most of our immune system resides in the gut.

Grains contain harmful proteins, which can severely compromise the integrity of the gut by allowing these almost entirely intact proteins to enter your bloodstream along with foreign pathogens and unwanted food particles.

One such problematic protein found in some grains is a prolamin called gluten. These complex proteins can stimulate an immune reaction that leads to inflammation. If this situation continues it may lead to autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis and be the entry point for chronic disease to set in.

The Solution

Avoid grains (especially gluten-containing grains), legumes, and conventional dairy. If you do consume gluten-free grains or legumes, learn how to properly prepare them in order to minimize the gut-irritating properties.

Don’t worry about making any drastic changes to your diet at this moment. The intention is to bring some awareness to a few of the key issues that are compromising our health as a collective whole.

Take some time to reflect on the information presented here. You don’t have to have it all figured out!

  • Create a food log over the next 3-4 days. (You may reach me for FREE Diary Log)

Write down everything you put in your mouth, including the oils you cook your food with and beverages. We find it is VERY helpful to make people write down what they are eating.

Make some guesstimates on quantity. Use this as a tool as you move forward through the modules to help you make the changes you need to improve your diet and your health.

“All Disease Starts In The Gut” – Hippocrates

Cellular detoxification is a natural strategy that helps to remove waste products and harmful toxins from inside the cells of the body. This includes cellular remnants from toxic food, household cleaners, synthetic medications, air and water pollutants, and other molecular threats that build up in the cells and impair their functions.

Our body made up of about a hundred trillion individual cells, and each one of these cells, all has similar functions and properties. They all have a cell membrane, a nucleus, mitochondria, which are the workhorse, the powerful engines of the cells that produce energy, and all other organelles inside what’s called a cytoplasm.

In order for you to be healthy, you have to expel waste. You eat food, you take food in, you take in toxins your body takes what it needs, filters out what it doesn’t, and you go to the bathroom. That’s how you get rid of waste. That is on a macro level.

Every one of your cells does the same thing. You bring in oxygen, you bring in nutrients, but the cell, as a by-product of what they do, produce waste. Naturally, the cell needs to get rid of that waste. That is what cellular detoxification is. We want good stuff coming in; we want to get the bad stuff out. We want to put in the best nutrient, get rid of toxins hidden in our body.

Another process that occurs is this notion of by-products that are being created as a result of cellular respiration or energy metabolism. We create different types of waste, carbon dioxide, lactic acid, and free radicals.

You cannot detoxify your body without ultimately detoxifying yourselves, but there are ways to do that that are much more effective and potent than other ways. If you just do a colon cleanse or if you do a master cleanse, you’re not getting into the true cellular level. If you can heal your cells, you can heal your body.  Your entire body is going to be new in seven years. The cell needs to be healthy, and it needs to be eliminating what it needs to get rid of.  All cleansing must impact the cellular level.

Imagine you have a bucket and it’s full of water and the water starts to overflow. That’s essentially what happens in a toxic body. We might ingest pesticides for 20 years, nothing goes wrong, and then all of a sudden we wake up with some kind of neurological disorder and we have no idea why it’s happened.

We have toxins coming in, physical trauma, emotional trauma, infections, and all sorts of chemicals inundating your cells. When this toxic load is reached and the cells can no longer support that load it starts to overflow. This is when we start to get chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation initiates an increased amount of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide communicates with two very dangerous oxidant molecules.

Superoxide and peroxynitrite are two examples of very powerful oxidants. These are damages and causes bad health. These two specifically attack the mitochondria, the powerhouses in your cells that does two things: it decreases the amount of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) each one of your cells produces, which basically means that you’re not producing enough energy, so your cells can eventually die, and it reduces the amount of glutathione in your cells. Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant in the human body. It’s about 10,000 times more powerful than the most potent antioxidant food. It’s also best known as the major detoxification compound in living organisms.

Your cells have specific enzymes; for instance, superoxide dismutases (SOD). It naturally buffers or counteracts some of the effects of these oxidant molecules. The problem is that, with, for instance, peroxynitrite, it not only attacks the mitochondria, it also lowers the levels of this superoxide dismutases enzyme, which means that that enzyme is no longer able to counteract these oxidant molecules.

The other problem with these free radicals is lipid peroxidation. Lipid peroxidation is where the cell membrane is attacked; its integrity becomes compromised, and this is, essentially, lipid, being fat, peroxidation, meaning that there’s some kind of peroxide, in this case, peroxynitrite, that is attacking the integrity of that fat membrane and making it less effective. It becomes more permeable, it loses its natural fluidity, it’s not able to keep things out and allow things to move out and bring good things in.

All of this comes as a result of having too many toxins overloading your cells, ultimately leading to oxidative stress, there’s too much free radical or reactive oxygen species damage occurring at the cellular level. Over time this leads to symptoms and disease.

Too much toxicity at the cellular level as a result of years and years of bioaccumulation, there’s way too much oxidative stress inside our cells. It attacks the mitochondria, which lowers levels of ATP and glutathione and compromises the cell membranes.

How Does doTERRA DDR Prime Support Cell Repairs And Renew?

Cells are the foundation of all living things. Their growth, replication, and death provide the information for the function of all our body’s systems. As we age, cellular function progressively degrades and this process can be expedited by poor nutrition, lack of exercise, stress, exposure to toxins, and other lifestyle habits. When the cellular function is compromised, the normal process of growth and regeneration is altered, negatively impacting all normal and healthy processes.

DDR Prime Cellular Complex is designed to support healthy cellular integrity.  Cellular health is the foundation of health; when the normal process of cellular growth, replication, and regeneration is altered, all body systems and functions are affected.  A daily serving of DDR Prime provides the antioxidant support we need for lifelong cellular health.

Cells are the basic building block of all life. Healthy tissues, organs, and, ultimately, healthy organisms depend on cellular reproduction and specialized function, energy production, and timely cell death when cells are not functioning at optimal levels. Providing your cells with essential nutrients and metabolic factors of cellular energy and protecting our cells from toxic stressors, as doTERRA Alpha CRS+ is designed to do, supports healthy cell function, vitality, and wellness.*

The doTERRA Lifelong Vitality Program makes taking the first step on the path toward a lifetime of vitality and wellness convenient and affordable. A long life full of vitality and healthy aging begins with providing your cells with essential nutrients and metabolic factors to help them perform optimally. Because you don’t want to just live longer, you want to live younger.

Final Words

We don’t know the full extent to which heavy metals impact our health, but it’s mostly negative. Be a smart consumer and view cleansing as a daily practice that can be achieved by eating clean program and supplements.

All detoxification begins at the cellular level. A true detox requires all systems to be working properly while avoiding and minimizing toxic loads. It involves the methylation pathways, glutathione, and liver detoxification. Simple dietary things you can do that will cleanse your liver effectively cleansing out your cells when you do it properly.

You can overcome your genetics through and supplementation and lifestyle. If you’re eating white sugar all the time, that’s communicating a certain way. If you’re eating leafy, green vegetables, that’s going to communicate in a totally opposite way.
